The Daily Sentinel of Jackson published a story on March 16 about a fatal motor vehicle accident on Alabama Highway 40 two miles up Sand Hill Mountain from the Bob Jones Bridge.

Apparently a 19-year-old girl died in the accident and two other people were injured when a man driving a Lincoln Continental up the mountain struck the victim's Pontiac driving down the mountain. Wet, rainy conditions on the road may have contributed to the terrible accident.

Traffic was affected on the roadway for more than two hours following the accident, as emergency teams helped the victims, law enforcement investigated and wreckers cleared the roadway.

If you or someone you know has suffered injuries incurred in a motor vehicle or trucking accident, contacting an attorney to discuss your rights may be wise. For free information from our team of attorneys, please click on the form to the right of this page.
