Bicyclist Suffers Life Threatening Injuries After Crashing with Car

A bicyclist suffered life threatening injuries in a car accident, Tuesday night, when his bike was struck by a car.

The man, 52, of Letohatchee, was said to be unconscious and unresponsive when officials arrived on the scene. He was transported by Air Evac to Baptist Hospital South for medical treatment. He is now listed in stable condition.

The man was hit by the car, on U.S. Highway 31, near Montgomery, according to authorities.

Many agencies responded to the accident scene including State Troopers, Montgomery County Sheriff's Department and Pintala Fire Department.

The accident is being investigated, no further information is available at this time.
