A recreational bicycle ride turned fatal for an Auburn man Sunday morning as he and his wife collided with a motor vehicle driven by a 16-year-old boy.

The couple were riding separate bicycles on U.S. Highway 280 near Lee Road 72 when the driver's car hit both bicyclists. The 37-year-old man died of his injuries on Tuesday night, according to a report from the Ledger-Enquirer in Columbus.

The victim's wife received minor injuries in the bicycle-motor vehicle accident.
