The Shelby County Reporter posted a story on their web site Tuesday about a deadly three-car accident on Interstate 65.

A woman driving by herself on I-65 near the Cahaba Valley Road exit died in the three-car pile-up at about 12:30 p.m., said state trooper spokesman Sgt. Tim Sartain. The driver of another vehicle was injured and listed in critical condition at the hospital. The driver of the third vehicle was not injured.

The motor vehicle accident forced law enforcement personnel to close part of the interstate, and the accident is still being investigated at this time.
