Teens injured in pick-up truck accident

A report from WVAU-TV says a teenager who was riding in the bed of a pick-up truck is in critical condition after being thrown from the vehicle in an accident Friday night.

There were two other teens thrown from the pick-up truck's bed when it was struck by another vehicle after the driver of the pick-up ran a red light.

This sad occurrence is yet another example of the high incidence of injury and death among teen drivers. It also underscores the dangers of riding in the bed of a pick-up truck.
