The Press-Register reported on a two-vehicle accident Monday night in which a 19-year-old Mobile man fled the scene as a woman and her two daughters received injuries that sent them the hospital.

The man who apparently caused the accident was arrested on charges of first-degree assault, driving under the influence and leaving the scene fo the accident.

The motor vehicle accident occurred on Schillinger Road near Highwood Drive when the man's 2001 Chevy pickup truck hit the back of the woman's 1993 Buick.

The details of the accident are still being investigated by Alabama law enforcement.
