Newest product recalls from CPSC

The most recent product recalls from the Consumer Product Safety Commission include Imaginarium wooden coloring cases, Yorkcraft emergency tool kits, Gerber EAB pocket knives and electric heaters from Marley Engineered Products.

SFGate.com details these recalls of defective products that affect consumers across the nation:

-- B&F System Inc. of Dallas is recalling 43,000 Yorkcraft emergency tool kits. Booster cables in the recalled kits can have undersized wiring and inadequate connections, posing a fire and shock hazard to consumers.

-- Toys R Us Inc. of Wayne, N.J., is recalling 27,000 Imaginarium wooden coloring cases. The printed ink on the outer packaging contains lead. Also, some of the black watercolor paint contains excessive levels of lead.

-- Gerber Legendary Blades of Portland, Ore. is recalling 154,000 Gerber EAB (Exchange-A-Blade) pocket knives. During use, the back of the blade of the knife can slide past the blade support, posing a laceration hazard.

-- Berko Electric, now known as Marley Engineered Products of Bennettsville, S.C., is recalling 84,000 toe-space electric heaters. If the fan stops working and the heater continues to run, the unit can overheat, posing a fire hazard.
