An article in The Press-Register reported yesterday that Judge DuBose left the scene of an accident after being involved in a two-car accident with no injuries and minimal damage to the vehicles involved.

Apparently Judge DuBose was en route to court Wednesday when the accident occurred. No one was injured, and the Judge identified himself to the other person involved in the accident, telling him where he would be, and parking 50 feet from the accident site.

Though the Butler Police Chief says it is "improper" to leave the scene of an accident, in this case the Judge may have thought his duty to serve the public in court that day was of higher importance. The article says that the other person involved in the accident did not even file an accident report in this "fender bender."

So far, Judge DuBose has not been cited for any kind of infraction.
