Accidents with uninsured pose growing problem

An article from the Times Daily today addresses the growing problem of uninsured motorists being involved in motor vehicle accidents.

The story cites an example of an Alabama woman and her daughter who were involved in an accident with an uninsured motorist who was driving under the influence with a revoked driver's license. The accident victim fortunately had full insurance coverage that took care of all medical expenses and losses.

A survey from the Insurance Research Council sheds light on the growing national problem of uninsured motorists. The survey shows that 14.6 percent of U.S. households have at least one uninsured vehicle.
